So good JJB said it twice.
I'm a cheat and I saw it too.

Just had a baby robin come into the house.
Safely back outside now.

We have a random 2x2 4ft pole in the flower bed visible fron the bedroom window, the reason why is long forgotten but the eyesore remains because robin thinks it's his perch. This morning there were two spotted woodpeckers clinging to the sides of this pole, a youngster being fed by an adult. Definitely an aahhh moment.

Spent some time today watching the wrens in the back hedge/brambles, flitting from branch to branch or scuttling through the undergrowth. They always make me smile with their cheeky little tails.

Had a heron do a fly by this afternoon. Not exactly an uncommon sight. Attempting to photograph it is much more unusual. Here’s a dreadful picture to show why , I don’t usually bother.

It was about 10.15 last night when the bats made an appearance. I know because I was sitting on the decking with Kato as it was too hot indoors. I can hear them before I see them so my hearing must be ok!
I've also spotted Red Kites circling high up at times.
