If you can get to an Aldi, they may still have chilli and sweet pepper plants in 4 litre pots. Haven't been there myself this year but last year they had Basket/Ring of Fire, Hungarian Hot Wax and some kind of Habanero.
This year has been really bad for aphids, so many plants in our garden were smothered with them during May. They seem to have died down a bit now though and the parasitic wasps and hoverfly larvae are looking after most of the remaining ones in the greenhouse.
