Seems like a good idea? Your views please? Haven't looked for a delivery cost though?
My general rule of thumb is not to trust anything that's advertised on Facebook. You can also get the same product on Amazon. Firemid seems like another of those copycat Chinese websites all selling the same wacky collection of stuff. Shipping costs $4.99 and you have to pay in US dollars, so you will be hit by the Paypal exchange rate. They ship direct from China, so if you have to return the product you will have to send it back to China. There also may be extra tax/duty/handling fees. There is no phone number or address on the website, so you will only be able to contact them by e-mail. Trading under a different name, they have been told off by the ASA for advertising products exclusive of VAT (https://www.asa.org.uk/non-compliant/lan...o-ltd.html) so I assume they are doing the same here and the listed price is not the true price.

As for the product itself, I think it has limited use. Apart from the LEDs in the lid it's not much different from a standard propagator + lid. There are only about 4 diodes in the lid so they're not going to put out much light, and once the plants have outgrown the height of the lid the lights are of no use.

You can see the sort of results people have got from this product - https://youtu.be/FIeArF7ZBgM?t=242https://youtu.be/mbhYcISc5mc

If I was buying a seedling grow light now, this would be my choice - https://migrolight.com/collections/all/p...grow-light. More expensive than some of the ones you will see on Amazon but it's much higher quality, fully dimmable, covers a 2ft x 1.5ft area and the LEDs are rated to last 50,000 hours (which is over 8 years if you run them at full power for 16 hours a day!).

Yeah it was.  Rolleyes . They didn’t lie, but they didn’t give all the information about the free seeds.

Be aware! Marshall's are running a competition on FB to guess a plant from a blurred image. The winner will be sent the plant.

I guessed Cherry tree and with an hour had a reply saying I'd won and to go to their website, following a link.

The new page was not written in "proper" English which made me twitchy and when it asked me to provide my credit card details I closed it rapidly.
I messaged and emailed Marshalls to tell them their webpage had been cloned and they have removed all the replies and posted a warning. However, it looks like at least one person has fallen for the scam. Sad

"Please explain the withdrawal from my bank for a "2 day free trial" then fifty plus per month thereafter. Have I been scammed via your site? "

The clone site looked OK at first glance  (possible Monty Don in the header and the Marshall's logo) but it turned out to be a Blog page and the photos on it were of young ladies!!

Be very careful out there. Angry
