A Mess of Greens etc

I've been experimenting with a Mess of Greens recently - basically a handful of whatever (edible) green leaves I can find, cooked quickly together in a little oil or hot water. Normal ingredients are kale leaves from a couple of different plants,  lovage, oriental veg of whatever is in the GH and chard plus some Three-cornered leek or spring onions.
Most of my food is messy food - bowls of fresh salad leaves, or stirfries or mixed up in soup.
I suppose its my nature. Big Grin

If I was cooking for just myself, I'd be exactly the same. Stirfries and soups are so quick, convenient, versatile and tasty. I'm sure I'd live on eggs and toast if I didnt have to feed P and could please myself. I don't think it's your nature, it's your practicality, cooking what's available in the most cost effective and flavourful manner. Your mess of greens will diversify when the season progresses.

I do a similar kind of thing, usually with garlic, ginger, lemon juice & soy lobbed in. I love a plate of steamed or fried mixed greens.
