Managed to do a bit of weeding in the strawberry patch and the big veg bed.
Ground is very damp.

It was a sunny dry day so sorted out my ginormous black storage box. Findind room for large gravel trays, brushing out all the modules and pots, putting them into stacks, being fairly ruthless about throwing away broken ones. It took absolutely ages. I still have more flower pots to do tomorrow.

Dry and sunny today so gave the lawn a final mow, then broadcast a box of grass seed.
Pulled up all the various bamboo canes I'd used for the beans, tomatoes and mini pumpkins. Canes are now stored away in the garage along with the metal obelisks used for annual climbers.
Collected some rudbeckia "marmalade" seed heads.
Picked all the figs off the fig tree. I always forget to do this but saw a reminder earlier.

Planted out my spring greens. They seem to of stopped growing so hopefully they’ll start again now they’ve been moved. Direct sown some more along side. Cut back buddleia. Hosed out ferret run (pre winter deep clean). Split wood.

Sowed the first of the broad beans this morning and planted out some very late collards, kale and red cabbage plants.

Planted out some broad bean seedlings just as it started to rain, Headed into the GH and potted up some rosemary cuttings that I scrounged this morning. Put the rosemary tops in a jar of water, having stripped off the leaves to dry for the kitchen.

Did a bit of path raking and couch grass pulling.
Tipped out a bucket of spuds that I'd forgotten about and found some lovely red skinned spuds in there. Only problem was - they're all regrowing - so I tipped them back into the bucket and covered them up with more soil.

A bit more weeding and raking. With the plum trees gone, I have space to play with. Keep having different ideas for it - will probably end up being covered in montbretia and brambles If I don't do something soon.

I did some much-needed weeding and trimming of slug-nibbled leaves. It was good to be outside for a while after yesterday's all-day rain.

Spent some time in GH1, cutting back tomato plants, removing 2 more and picking tomatoes, ably assisted by 3 dogs who zoom in on any fallen toms and eat them, regardless of whether they're fully ripe or not.
