17. Knock off the end walls to use as watering trays, and use the holey piece as a spacer to perfectly position seedlings in rows or blocks (Yes, I realise you'd never do that Veggie)
18. Knock off the end walls and use the holey bits for footpaths

19. Put under squashes to keep them clean.
Tell us Veggie, what have you actually done with them?

You won't be surprised to hear I haven't done anything with them yet!! They're stacked on some blowaway shelves until I have a moment to play with them.
I like Moth's idea of a tiered Auricular theatre thingy maybe 3 at the back, 2 in the middle and one in the front. My single Auricula would look a bit silly on it though.:
20. Also thought about putting strawberry pots on them and letting the fruit drop over the edges so that they wouldn't touch the soil.
21. Maybe stand them on their sides and make a raised bed?
22. Find some jars that fit the holes and use them to start cuttings?

As its a year since I collected these shoe rack thingys I'll tell you what I did with them - and its a bit embarrassing!
I used 3 as, wait for it,...........a shoe rack and gave the rest away this week as I was sick of tripping over them in the garden.
