Another suggestion from the fisherman - The hole could be the eye on top of a hook. Bob could etch a hook below the hole - something like that. I pretended to understand.

I'd cut that part of with the hole making the the fish and text in the middle of piece of wood.

We’ve started putting the lead on the roof today. Bob had to make some new lead bosses tools first as the one we dug out the back of the shed was full of woodworm.
