Said to be cooler air coming from the west today - could do with some rain too, water butts getting low.

BTW do you think the weather presenters on the box are getting a bit too excited about reaching the Hottest ever temps in the UK. They seem positively gleeful at the thought of those 40C temps - in their air conditioned office. Big Grin
Proper news must be in short supply if all they can harp on about is the weather! Rolleyes Sick of hearing about it. Whatever hapeneed to the British stiff upper lip?.........just get on with it for cripes sakes! Big Grin

Woke up to 20 degrees and mist! Got a few splats of rain before the sun came out again, but only made a very pleasant 28 today so got to potter in the garden once more. And it may even rain tonight.

It clouded over an hour ago and looked like it could rain (even brought the washing in) but it was only pretending. Sky's blue now and sun shining. There is no wind so don't know where the clouds went. Temp starting to drop now 27C outside at moment after 36/37 earlier. Forecast 19 max tomorrow so about 18 degrees cooler. Might need a jumper on.

It's been absolutely roasting here today in Lincolnshire. I went around the house to get some percolator coffee from the garage store, and by the time I got back into the kitchen, I was soaked. The pressure of the heat has been immense today.
It's slowly cooling down, but apparently the temperature is going to stay near 30 most of the day tomorrow, and only cool down to low 20s by tomorrow evening.

We're down to 20 here in Lincs, and thank goodness for that! We were promised rain, but that hasn't materialised. I'm still grateful Smile
