Planted out most, maybe all, of the cucurbits.
5 Carosello and 3 Wautoma cucumbers in GH 2.
Outdoors in the "Squash Court" 7 Berretina, 4 Rugosa Friulana and 2 Serpent squashes.
Cleared a load of nettles and brambles that were against a fence.

Planted out the last of the cucumbers and gherkins, and some armpitted tomatoes that have rooted nicely. Did the sow list from last week, this week and next week! Watered. Thanks PP, it now appears that I am negative I’ve had 3 tests since and all negative but my wife is still positive and seems to be bad with cough and aches and pains.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

Off out with a pal today, going to a large charity shop and excess warehouse in Wilton. Its right next door to Premier Seeds Direct..... I wonder if they like visitors from what I remember it's a very closed up industrial unit, not particularly welcoming, so probably not.

Have a look in their skip, Jen, maybe they're throwing out old stock.

Yesterday - My son who was visiting wanted to go round some garden centres, I bailed out of the 3rd! He got a total of 7 plants so he was pleased. I must admit I'm not really a flower person but found myself liking a few so took some photos to research!
Today about 90 mins at the plot, it was too hot for longer. I watered what I deemed needed to be, general weed around the plot hacking any weeds over a foot, still a lot to go! Prepped a couple of large pots for the 2 remaining cucurbits, will pot these tomorrow.
I've decided that if the patio fruit trees do not produce this year I will move them to the plot during winter, or whenever the right time is!
Regards..........Danny

Well I'm home from my outing. Premier Seeds didn't look very welcoming. I managed to get a like for like pressure cooker for £4.50 exactly like my ailing ancient one for which I can no longer get spares so I'm sorted in that department and well pleased. I gave in to temptation and bought some T& M seeds all reduced to 50p and well in date also some other bits and bobs rubber gloves, garden gloves, tomato feed and 6ft canes. A good day.

Armpitted and twisted the tomatoes up their strings.
Moved the leeks up a pot size - hoping to plant them this week if it rains but they were looking a little sad.
Dumped the 50% of lettuces and cabbages in pots that didn't make it through the heat wave.
Rode the motorbike to Tarbes to get a new back tyre fitted this afternoon.
