My pumpkins and courgettes seed has just rotted, so I was wondering whether it was worth sowing again this late in the season?

Nothing ventured nothing gained but pumpkins need a lot longer than courgettes.

Courgettes will be fine sown now. I didn't sow my courgettes until June last year as it was a late decision but they soon caught up and gave me plenty throughout summer.

Not too late at all. I still have some squashes & cucumbers to sow.

If you sow now you should get a crop, if you decide you've missed the time and don't sow you definitely won't get a crop.
