For a few years running, every spring/early summer we had a crow dive bombing an upstairs window from an apple tree. It used to start as soon as it was light and wake everyone up. I ended up putting black plastic bin bags over the glass. Next doors thought it was highly amusing - till it started on one of their windows.

Some small warblers have arrived for the summer, though it is a bit blustery and wet just lately. Not sure what, could be willow or garden looking at them.
There have been several Jays visiting the bird table lately (5 the most seen at once) and one was eating blossom of a plum tree this morning.
This little lady was sat on our compost heap just when we returned from shopping and filling up with petrol for a trip this weekend, would make someone a nice dinner partner.

A starling! I've never seen one in the garden here before, although there are some in town. A murmuration is on my bucket list of things to see, along with tigers in the wild. My money is on the starlings!

Heard the first Cuckoo this morning while hanging out the washings, then saw a Greenfinch, the first one for ages.

I think I heard a golden oriel this afternoon, but as usual the bird was high in the trees and pretty hard to spot.

Like Roitelet, I saw a greenfinch this morning, such a long time since I've seen one and yet in the past they used to be frequent visitors to the feeding station.

The Robin thats been hanging around our garden now has a friend and they're taking up residence in the lean-too next to the kitchen. They've been busy coming and going under the gap in the outer door.
