Pricked out peppers and chillies, weeded the gravel in front of the house.
Mended two sets of blinds for a gite.
Where did the rest of the day go?

Went to get compost, then got home and Jay's really not well. He has made comments about stuff tasted weird or better than normal, dizzy and wobbly, temperature... I begged him to take a covid test and he didn't want to, but I'm pleased he did, because it's positive. At least he's staying in bed now.

Put up the blow-away GH, brought my pots of dahlias and chocolate cosmos out of hibernation, watered them and put them in the GH.
Cleared weeds and mole tunnels from the top of this year's miscellaneous bed ready for some sowing.
Hoed the weeds from the broadies.
Cleared the brambles from the bamboo hedge, but they'll be back!
Retired from the rain (hurrah, the ground is pretty dry already).

Cleared the old/holey leaves from the greens in the greenhouse to feed Mr Greedy
Spoke encouragingly to the Bijou flowers and told them how it upsets JJB to hear about them.
Spotted the first tulip of spring - a white one. Reminded me of a Belisha Beacon (bet they're not called that now!!).

A quick hour at the plot earlier, removed the weed membrane under the two upside-down planters. Then lined with cardboard then a layer of grass/moss and a layer of leaves in each.
Tomorrow will be a layer of spent soil then a layer of compost from the bins.
Not sure about a layer of manure, should I avoid that for roots?

Not much done today as I had to go to the Docs for my annual blood letting. My appointment was late morning so I had to stay clean until then.
Had a visitor this afternoon :eek Took cuttings from a yellow sticker thyme and cracked open a passion fruit for seeds.
