Torrential rain for the last two days - we've had over 60mm in 24hrs and still have another nine or ten hours of heavy rain to come. It is no wonder we are on Red Alert for rain and flooding, plus avalanches in the mountains.
This has followed two weeks of dry weather and is forcast to be followed by another fortnight of calm weather.
Is this the new normal?

Thanks for the prompt, PP. I've closed the 2021 Weather thread.
So far this year we've had cold nights but no frost. A short flurry of sleet on 7th January. Lots of rain - the ground is saturated .
Yesterday morning, weak but warm sunshine which turned to rain later and, this morning, thick fog that was slow to clear.
Typical January weather here.

Just dull here but at least I could do a bit in the yard.
Looking okay for tomorrow so will hopefully get a visit to the plot, if the man flu is okay

It's been dull and cold here all day. Not bad out and about if you're well wrapped up.

Lovely day today, but mixed yesterday. I've only managed to go out and see the chickens today, give them water and some leftover veggies. Oh my goodness they love sprouts lol I have another couple of bags in the fridge that are coming to an end. I might cook them up and give them to the chooks. Jay loves them so I hope doesn't notice lol

Hurrah the rain has stopped and the sun returned!
We beat our third worst flood depths with the river hitting 3m54 - it is normally about 0.25m - and we await the road being reopened in one direction.

Cold and wet, but the sun was shining earlier I reckon it got up to about 6’C today, it’s 4’C out there now. It’s been misty rain on and off all day.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

It was wet here but mild. I was out a good few hours. Just heeled in my new crab apple trees as I'm not sure what to do with them. Do I plant those by my patio??
Started digging more ground elder out of a border, cleared up leaves and chopped my tayberry down - I'm making way for flowers....this was in the wrong spot. I've taken 5 cuttings and just slotted them in in hedge.
Also pruned a couple of roses - set the prunings up as cuttings. They may sprout
Set more mouse traps. 1 more down.
