Root Parsley is not your normal parsley but has edible, parsnip-like roots as well as edible leaves.
Real Seeds has seeds and information https://www.realseeds.co.uk/parsnips.html
I have old seeds for Atika, Hermes and Kinga/Hamburg Parsley - goodness knows how that happened - must have been freebies
Has anyone ever grown it? if so, what's your verdict?

I’ve grown hamburg. The roots really do get big like parsnips. Unfortunately I can’t actually tell you about how it tastes or cooks. I grow it when I was a gardener at a hotel. I believe it got used to feed guests, so I guess it’s pretty good
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

Thanks SC. Sounds like its worth sowing- but not 'til March-May. Harvest Oct-March.
I'll have lost the seeds again by March.

It's on my list of things to grow when I have my garden.
Of course, there are so many things on my to-grow list that I am going to need a couple of acres to pack them all in, so I may not get to it in 2022!
Formerly self-contained, but expanding my gardening horizons beyond pots!

Hhhmmmm, interesting, I am not a parsnip fan but lots of people in the family love them, especially roasted at Christmas. I'm less than happy taking up our grow space for Xmas Dinner when I'm not going to eat them. Sounds like a good option possibly as an alternative. I'll look in to them for next year.

I've grown Hamburg too. I took them up a bit too soon so the roots weren't that big, but they were tasty. You can eat the leaves too, as parsley!
