We went down to under 3°C briefly early this morning, we've had it too good for so long it came as a bit of a shock being chilly out and condensation on the inside of the bedroom window. Shame to think there'll sooner be a proper frost to take all the tenders out.
PS
Veggie's gh will be alright though as I'm sure it's at least 30° in there

You must have a very good telescope, JJB! I've just checked the GH temps and its 30.7 at the moment. Went down to 10.1 last night.
Its another lovely sunshiny day here.

It was 7c here overnight and by 7-ish when I first went outside to get the milk it wasn’t much warmer at 7.4c.
Suns out now though |

First frost last night, 1 degree but the grass was crunchy.
I'm very glad I brought the over-wintering chillies in to the house last night (phew). Fingers crossed the rest of the tender stuff survived as it will be back up into double digits overnight, with warm and sunny days by the end of the weekend. There should be a lot still to harvest!!
This is very early - normally (I know, the words climate and normal should no longer be used together ) I'd be picking aubergines and chillies well into November. But it would be a fitting end to a terrible summer in the potager

Cool start, warming up by afternoon. GH staying above 10 overnight - happy with that.

It's been a lovely day here today, but I got home too late to be able to do anything before it went dark. Those dark evenings bother me
I'm hoping it will stay overcast over the weekend, because I'm going to shovel hoss muck so I don't want it too warm |
