Things will be a little quieter for a couple of weeks until the 16th/17th. That’s when we have the manitou & friends all available at the same time. To help put the roof on . That will be a hard, stressful & exciting weekend !

https://www.blackmoor.co.uk/category/109 Thank you boss that’s very kind of you . It’s got to be Victoria . I know she is capable of doing very well up here if the spring weather behaves.

Things are not running quite as smoothly as one might hope! We were all lined up to borrow a manitou. Unfortunately the only person with the correct paperwork to use it got sent on a last minute course for 10 days. Plan B involves a little more physical work. Ok we still think we can pull this off. Enter the little pain in the ar$e called Covid-19! So we are down a suitable machine and now manpower. That manpower includes my own as I’ve got to clean 3 holiday houses today. One of which sleeps 10 and the owner is here! (A definite hindrance, not helpful ) fellow cleaners are away or isolating! I’ve already cooked the sausage rolls and made raspberry flapjacks ready for the workers lunch, just rolls to fill. They may have to do that bit themselves. Depends what state the houses are left in. Hopefully I’ll get to help with some of the build on my own house later.
