The Yellow Weather Warning, forecasting heavy rain this morning was justified - its just stopped.!
Rain stopped play in the garden.

We were threatened with torrential rain and thunderstorms all day. Reality was about an hour of gentle drizzle and about 10 minutes of heavier stuff. I had high hopes of a drenching, not to be though.

I've never seen such heavy rain as today. Its like a monsoon. I went into Morrisons lunchtime in the sun and when I came out the carpark was like a lake. I swear there were waves breaking on the surface with the driving wind. 
The hill that I live on, is a muddy torrent, washing down all the fallen leaves from the trees further uphill and eroding the grass verges.
Its pouring down again now and I have to go down to the chooks and read them their bedtime story. My wellies are in the GH and I'll be soaked just getting there.
On the bright side, the water butts will be full again.
