The word “Jurassic,” which we so often associate with dinosaurs, comes from the Celtic word for “forest”.

Funny Jay and Moth mentioning sand, 2 yeas ago I was in Queensland Australia for a holiday, when we went walking on the beaches I could hear this squeaking noise, wife thought I was mad until I proved it. On investigation when I got home I discovered that there is a high content of silicone in the sand. Strange but true

CTM - silicon, or silicone? There's a difference I believe.
I believe the squeak is caused by the shape of the sand and the air pockets around them, is that right?

Squeaky Beach, so named because of the sounds you'll hear while walking along the sand. The Parks Victoria's expert explains that 'the rounded grains of quartz make a squeakingsound when you walk, giving this popular local beach its name'.20 Aib 2017

During lockdown you are safer if you are young, not because you are less likely to catch Covid but because if you are young you have to be 2 metres apart but if you are old 6ft will do.

That's probably because if two old folks are more than six feet apart, we can't hear each other, and probably can't see each other either.
