Bagging seed heads - what bags?

I've tried many versions of netting over the years - built "proper" cages over the lot with poles and netting............but the birds would creep under the netting and get trapped, or catch their feet in it and have to be released.
Net curtains have much the same problem, birds go underneath them.
Also, I need to be able to get to the fruit to pick it, so anything that stops birds, stops me too.
The woodpigeons are jumping on the branches and snapping them - its not been a good year for small fruit - but a good year for cuttings.

I use scaffold netting over my blueberries held down with bricks.

I use the same size as TMTT and SC, I also have some larger ones - 10cm x7cm and
I use micromesh- some chilli plants drop their flowers so on occasionI I will wrap the whole plant/branch etc.

Danny - definitely swap those plastic bags off!.

Thanks Scarlet - they're in my basket. Trouble is, I need to spend another £14.40 for free postage. and I'm struggling to find something I really want.
Anyway, I've found another need for them - a flipping mouse has eaten all the "Three Cheeses High" tomatoes in the GH. Do you think he thought they'd taste of cheese as he hasn't touched the Minibel or Rambling Red Stripes!!

Could you use an old pair of tights or nylons cut down for seed bags, air and water pass through them and you could get several bags from one leg, easy to pin up somewhere to let the seeds dry and even easier to take down

I don't have any old tights - in fact, I can't remember the last time I wore them - its years!
Tights cost more than bags but thanks for the suggestion, Spec. You clearly know a lot about ladies' tights.

Yes Veggie I have my hands on them quite often I use them for filtering garlic solution or my weed feed, (weeds soaking in water) storing onions, robbing banks, though nylons are better for that, as my mate can still maintain a social distance, with the tights he's right up at my shoulder
