^^ It does work - I always cut down all beans to the stumps, leaving the roots for the nitrogen nodules (just in case there are any) and broad beans usually regrow. .

Finished last week's sow list.
Planted out the third batch of DFBs, some different basils, beetroot, turnips, kale cavolo nero, yet more replacement pumpkins, sweetcorn, courgette.
Potted up some basil (Thai, lemon, giant lettuce-leaved & Genovese).
Finished moving the firewood from the old woodshed to the new woodstore so we can demolish it and start the ground works for the extension.

Cleaned chooks house - found red mites so had to do a better clean and a spray.
A Rose arch has fallen over, blocking one entrance to the far end of the garden. A job for another day as it will need a couple of extra hands.
Spotted the first female courgette flower and chaperoned an introduction to a well endowed male. Ate his petals afterwards.
Pulled up a lot of sticky willy - seems appropriate after the courgette experience.
Unexpected heavy rain this evening.

Tied up sprouting, broccoli and peas. Sown seeds. Turned an old broken kenwood chef into a planter . Took a while pulling all the guts out and putting it back together so it looks like it still works. Not sure what to plant in it yet. Watered tunnels. Did a bit more work on the latest table restoration.
