Just wondering what you all use to feed your plants?
I've always used just my wormery feed and I make up a nettle and a comfrey soup occasionally for my veg. I have bought in rose feed as I do think it makes a huge difference.
Many of you know I planted a hedge a couple of years ago and I think I could help give it a boost if I fed it. It's a mixed native hedge- hawthorn, bird cherry, hornbeam, hazel, a few crab apple, wild rose,
What would you use if anything?

I’d just put well rotted manure at the base of your new hedge. But fertilisers & feeding is a bit of a mystery to me! So I just make it up.

I do nothing because nobody feeds a native hedge.
The only plants that are fed are the ones in pots like toms and cukes - although I've been adding a bit of compost tea from Mr Greedy to the watering cans this year.

I'd go with the well rotted muck too. It's what I use along with homemade compost on my allotment beds and I may occasionally feed the plants with comfrey juice.

I would put bone meal along the hedge and water it in well.

Think I'd just add a mulch to keep weeds down.

I wouldn't feed that type of hedge either, but I would mulch with clippings or shreddings.
That's what I did with one of my hedges that was made from small branches cut from native trees in the neighbouring woods and initially used as pea sticks! The ones that rooted were relocated and made 2m plus in just two years.

When you cut the grass, correction, when your other half does your bidding and cuts the grass, mulch the roots with the grass cuttings

I always put some chicken manure pellets on my hedge in spring/summer..
