Loving the photos!
Remember to take the boring ones too, like where joints in sewer pipes or electric feeds are - much easier to find and dig out if you know where they are. Thus spake the voice of experience!

P is really interested in the process and the photos. He seems to know about these things. I just like pretty pictures because I'm nosy. Just keep them coming, they're great.

A little mini victory. The big hole doesn’t have to go down the other 75cm it was supposed to  . We’ve hit hard stuff and the engineers are happy with it . So we can just start filling it in again.
That’ll save on a few tons of gravel, and digger & driver time , and not so much dugout to dump.
