I was looking for the predicted last frost date in our area and found this site
Interactive map of last frost dates
I was really surprised at the differences in areas. I'm always amazed at how Veggie can transplant tenders well before me, now I know why, her area is a month different to mine. It's not fair

Looking at that map I'm in zone 12 last frost being May 1st to 10th, the site I use says second week in May so both give similar dates.
Thanks for the link JJB.

I'd forgotten that site!! Thanks for the refresher. JJB,
I'm in Zone 8, outside Cardiff, last frost March 31st/today. I'll wait until after the Artic Easter this weekend before I'm going to risk it!!
Just to upset JJB - the courgettes in the GH look OK and the toms have been out there for a few weeks. I do wrap them up at night, tuck them in and read them a story - i draw the line at cocoa though.

I'm Zone 10 (mid-April), which is a reasonable average based on recent experience - we generally don't get any serious frost after the end of March, but sometimes we get a cold snap as late as mid-May, so I keep a sharp eye on the weather forecast!
How much veg and wildlife can I pack into a 6m x 8m garden in suburban Cambridge? Let’s find out!

Mines March 31st....which is total cod's for me! I alsways get a super cold spot in May. Though I will be putting lots more out in the GH due to my new warm bench

Zone 11, which would put my last frost date a few weeks earlier than mid May, the date given by garden focused.

I'm Zone 11 21st - 30th April
Garden focused says last week in April, so they tally, but we all know about averages, they never tell us about the extremes
