So do any of you ladies suffer from veins bursting in the fingers? Sorry gentlemen I don’t mean to be sexist but apparently you don’t suffer from it. But if you do please contribute.
It’s damned uncomfortable when it happened.
.
Not the clearest photos in the world, sorry. But you get the idea. It’s more obvious when it starts before it bursts. It’s to painfully to photograph then. You’ll just have to use your imagination
Just wondering if I’m the only weirdo here

I'm not a weirdo in this respect! Never heard of it before.

Yes I've had it, not so badly as yours though. Usually when I carry something with a thin handle that's heavy. Hurts like hell as it happens then bruises/vein ruptures and I'm blue for days and its painful. So you're not alone SC, but we might just be two wierdos.

It doesn’t happen often, maybe once - twice a year. Sometimes its like you when I’m doing something or carrying something or I could be doing very little. This time I’d walked from the kitchen to the sofa! Not exactly strenuous on the old fingers . My Nan used to have it as well. Don’t think it’s a hereditary thing. just a coincidence.
most the time it’s not that noticeable due to my fingers spending a lot of there time purple thanks to Raynaud's disease.

Is it connected to Reynauds do you think? I've not got that thank goodness, just arthritis.
Another weird thing came upon me after a heavy dose of antibiotics 2yrs ago. Burning mouth syndrome. Drives me nuts and doesn't seem to be going away. Once again, ladies of a certain age are prone to it.

Welcome to the club Roitelet .
JJB you’ve just taken weird to the next level! I only suffer from the burning mouth when my chillies are to hot .
Don’t think it’s connected to Reynard, lots of people have that without exploding veins. Age isn’t a factor either mine started in my late 20s .

Ouch! No exploding veins here - I don't envy you!
How much veg and wildlife can I pack into a 6m x 8m garden in suburban Cambridge? Let’s find out!
