How generous of the Boss - Veggie, if you need any back up funds just say, I can always send you some extra postage money or stamps.

Thanks JJB. Scarlet and I are in discussion about who's going to run it. I know Scarlet's busy with her "kitchen" builders and I'm twiddling my thumbs.
As we're so close to Christmas and the possible post problems, it may be that the seeds won't be shared out until January.
Unless more swappers come along. we're probably looking at 8 -10 of us.
If you/anyone wants to start packing, if you bagged up 10 packs of each seed you have to offer, that should be plenty to share.
If less than 10 of us want seeds, we could either split the spares between the other packs or hang onto them for a later swap?
Just ideas really. All suggestions (apart from rude ones) welcome.

I like the idea of the spare seeds being kept for future swaps or our own seed bank? If anyone would be willing to play bank manager. Afraid I’m not going to be offering my services. Like Scarlet, I’m a little busy or will be soon building. I’m doubtful veggie wants to take on such a task. As she’s already retired from a similar position in a previous life.
I’ll bag up my seeds as soon as it stops raining so hard. So I can get them from the shed without drowning!
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

I'll volunteer to be a seed bank manager as long as we have regular Share-outs of the seeds amongst us - either by request or a random distribution. We're a small group and it shouldn't be too onerous 'cos you're all nice people.
The problems with the "other" one were:-
I inherited a load of old seed, that nobody wanted to grow
People wanted to swap their "front of magazine" seeds for something rare
Some people were unreasonable and treated it like a shop, moaned if their "orders" weren't filled immediately. One memorable person wanted 100 packets of seed sent to her in the week before Christmas - like I had nothing else to do.
People "forgot" to send stamps..........several times.
You get the idea!! It ceased to be fun and became a chore.

Seed bank manager conjures up all sorts of thoughts!
Anyway enough of that. Without wanting to cloud the issue is there going to be a separate commercial seed swapping thread.
If this has been mentioned and I’ve missed it apologies?
Many thanks

Danny, the only commercial swaps I've got are freebies from magazines, so prob not worth having. Perhaps if we list commercial ones on a separate thread and use the PM system, and swap on a private basis that will release Veggie from some of the sorting out tasks. Shoot me down in flames, anyone, if you think differently.

Anyway Veggies bank sounds full
