Down sizing photographs

I used a computer tablet to take photos yesterday and when I tried to download to a thread on here I received a message saying that it was too big, so how do I reduce the size of a photo to allow downloading, I don't know much about computer operations so please keep any instructions easy to follow

Hello Spec, on the tablet do you have the ability to right-click the photo from an explorer type list? If so you may get an "edit" option. Hopefully there should then be a resize facility/option.

Please bear in mind the above is what I do on a PC so may not work on the tablet.

Well I did ask you to post a picture so its the least I can do

You can also take a screen shot of your tablet - and upload the screen shot. That works quite well for me.

What tablet have you got Spec?

If you use an iPad you can email the photos to yourself and you will get the potato resize smaller.

It's a Huawei with android operating system, and if I hadn't looked it up I wouldn't have had a clue, and Can have you seen the price of an IPad, if I had one of those it would be in a display cabinet
