Random question - metal detector

I’d love a metal detector. When my son was little I used to try to persuade him to ask for one from Santa (new he would get bored with it quickly)...he never would ask for one!!

Bob turned up with a metal detector. He’s only borrowing it for a week. So we’ve been out in the field having a play. We found lots of big old square nails, a couple of belt buckles. Taking it up to the plot at the weekend. See if we find anything exciting there.

Did you ever find your earring?

Unfortunately no. We bought a metal detector but the matching earring was too small to be detected by it. The neighbors helped us look around the park too. It was a small thing and unlikely to turn up. Maybe it'll shake out of some bedsheets one day
