My E is for Earwigs, such a strange name!
As a kid, I imagined them sitting on top of people's ears to keep them warm.................
...............and I still do.
EDIT
Earwig origins:-
Apparently, people believed that if you slept on the ground, earwigs would climb into your ears and tunnel into your brain, sending you insane.
Maybe, that's how it happened.

When i think of earwigs I remember walking to school with bunches of dahlias and always having them crawling on my hands.

Similar memory here Bren!
Finding some nasturtiums growing wild, where someone must have dumped some garden waste, and bringing a bunch of flowers home for Mum. I proudly gave them to her, just as the earwigs were emerging. Don't think she was too impressed.

Maybe, that's how it happened. So I take it you are still sleeping on the ground then Veggie I suppose that shows the truth of the old saying. The proof is in the pudding

Eagles
I can see them from my garden. They’re never actually in my garden.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.
