Hi Folks
Anyone growing/grown Caucasian Spinach?
Supposedly perennial and a bit of a climber, thanks?

I thought I had some of those seeds Danny, but according to the search in my mailbox, apparently not. I'm going to see if I can get hold of some seeds. I love the idea of perennial veg.

I haven't grown it but I've just "bought" some seeds of Hablitzia tamnoides.
Looks like I'd better sow it as it likes the cold! https://www.incrediblevegetables.co.uk/h...w-to-grow/

Sowed the Hablitzia/Caucasian spinach on 21/1 and left the pot outside in the weather!
They've germinated - exactly one month.

They're staying out until they grow enough to pot up..............and they'll stay out then too.

I think elephant garlic can be classed as perennial. I can't grow garlic/onions due to onion rot but I have a patch of elephant garlic. I harvest every year and it always comes back. All those little ones get left behind and carry on growing.
I have disturbed in now - in favour of my new flower beds, but it's probably been there for 8 years at least.

Your Elephant garlic is a perennial here too, Scarlet. I have clusters of it in 3 places now.

The perennial leeks as the same - great flower heads and leaves always available to eat.
