That’s very kind of you  Smile . The only black one I’ve ever seen was in a hanging basket, so trailing makes sense. I’m leaning lots here, I didn’t realise they were all perennial. What are bedding plants then? 
I assumed all bedding plant were annual? I hate flowers, they’re so confusing  Confused  Big Grin .
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

The fuchsia is a great all-rounder in the garden the ones used as bedding plants are usually bush plants, but if you want dot plants you need to grow them a standers which can be created from bush or trailing plants, depending on what you want they can be from about one foot up to three feet, the only thing I find wrong with them is that they don't have any perfume
Just to add, any of the hardy fuchsias can be left in the garden to create a shrub and flower every year
