I wanted to plant a cucumber in a 30ltr pot in GH2. Any pot would do so I chose one that I'd planted some potatoes and rocket in. Delighted to find enough little potatoes for a meal!
Added some vintage chicken pellets, the cucumber and sowed some carrots in there too.
Cleared some ground in VP5 and sowed some carrots, beetroots & radish. Its Roots and Shoots week!

Finally finished filling the cut flower bed. It’s the biggest bed I’ve got in the cottage garden. But boy it was a slog . Started placing some of the things going in it.

Became a sort of compost thief. When my husband picked up my 16 bags of compost on Saturday, they didn't have them ready at click and collect. He had to go round back of the shop and load them from a pallet into the car. Apparently in all this they forgot to scan the QR code, so today I got an email that my order was cancelled and my money refunded because it had been a week with no collection. It's all automated emails so...oops, I guess.

Spent most of the day planting up the cut flower bed. The things that have been waiting in pots all had to be weeded and split before planting. Also helped Bob running cables up to the roof behind the cladding, for the sola panels. Been to work for 3 hours this evening.

That'll teach them for being so incompetent! Hope its top quality compost.
Filled a wheelie bin with brambles for garden waste collection.
Emptied a 30ltr tub of rocket and giant red mustard (replanted in the garden). There were a few beetroot seedlings in there so I left them in the pot and planted a couple of tomato seedlings there to keep them company.
Pruned some fruit bushes and the medlar tree.
Renamed the Strips as it felt a bit sleazy. They are now North Ridge, Middle Earth and the South Bank. This week I'm working on the North Ridge.
The potatoes planted earlier this year are pushing through!

Filled what will be my lettuce buckets with a mix of old compost, dalek compost and soil. Added BF&B.
Weeded a bed not sure what I’ll grow there it’s too close to an apple tree to use it for carrots of parsnips.

Filled another wheelie bin with brambles for waste collection tomorrow. Then I can start again!
Wandered around the garden clutching two Perennial kale plants in a pot - couldn't decide where to plant them. There seemed to be something wrong with every spot I thought of. They have to be out of the reach of the dogs as they eat them! Eventually I decided on the old chicken run so planted them there.

Finished tidying up the mess I made yesterday, splitting a fish box full of sweet William. Sent a big tray of plants & 2 big pot of plants to the local hospital maintenance lady. For planting in the ground. In exchange for some roofing materials she let us have out of their skip last year. Filled a fish box for carrots & onions. Sown some seed. Did some pricking out. Scattered some more old seeds in the post box bed. Removed all the weird & wonderful things I have attached to my shed. Bob painted the shed.
