Went to the allotment with the whole crew. They put together two obelisks and I weeded around the rhubarb (so many thick bindweed roots!) although I only intended to dig a place to plant out peas and broad beans.

Snipped back all the overwintered plants of lemon verbena, blackcurrant sage and pineapple sage to make them bushy.
Potted on some sweet peppers.
Sowed more sunflowers.
Thinned out some flower seedlings.

Mostly messing about in the GHs. Shuffling pots and trays, sowing seeds and playing with compost. I can hear next door's parrot when I'm in GH2. He's so funny. He was asking the dog "Charlie, where's John?" John's my neighbour who was out on his motorbike!
A bit of wandering around spotting blossom on fruit trees. Hope there are enough pollinators around to do the business.

Sowed a lot. Peas, beets, chard, a few more kale as the first lot failed, a few courgette but its far too early for me for them really. Both P and I started forking over the veg patches. I might get something planted if the rain holds off. P doesn't find the digging as easy as he did last year, which is worrying, I might have to do it myself!!

Planted my dwarf tomatoes into their final positions (2 trough planters) and left them in GH2. Also planted 2 courgettes into a big pot in GH2. Covered them all up for the night!
Did some weeding at the base of the patio wall - lots of grass, brambles and raspberry canes.
General mooching around and about.

It's the Easter holidays and the kids have been pretty poorly straight off the bat so very limited gardening. I started my tomatoes late so I'm incredibly jealous of those who have plants instead of seedlings!

Planted out some oinion sets that I had started off in modules. They're about 6cm tall, I hope they don't mind travelling to a new home.
Took cuttings of a failing Xmas cactus, more cuttings of argyranthemum, put a snail leaf onto soil as it was reluctant to root in water. The Xmas cactus was failing because of stem rot. I'm going to have to remove it from it's decorative pot and water from the bottom in the future.
