Dug up some well rooted rosemary cuttings from a shop crate. Walked around the garden, carrying them in a seed tray, a bit like a water diviner, waiting to feel the vibes that indicate the right place to plant them. Having found the spot, I needed to dig up some brambles and hogweed to clear it. The ground was so hard that I couldn't get the trowel or garden fork in. Carried the seed tray back to the GH and potted cuttings up. Hope that by the time the soil has recovered from this dry spell, I'll be able to plant some even better rooted rosemary plants out.

A pottering morning, doing all those little jobs I notice each watering evening. Dug up this, planted that, propped up something else, pruned etc. Lifted onions to dry undercover as we might (only 'might') get some rain.

More Montbretia annihilation. The little bit of rain has softened the ground enough to make the pulling up of the corms easier. Chopped the leaves and scattered them on the path. Scattered some old, old flower seeds on the bare earth. No idea what they are but, they're so old they're unlikely to grow so I'm not losing sleep over them.

After doing a pick up of bits of shrubs I had pruned and left lying on the lawn, I cut th lawn to tidy it up a bit. I then went to allotment and hand weeded a small amount, then came home with two largish round courgettes which I palmed off on to my Daughter!

Spent today emptying old packets of seeds into jars, giving them a shake and, between showers, wandering down the garden, scattering seeds on bare patches of soil. Their chances of growing are slim but I've given them a chance, the rest is up to them.

Nothing outside. The house insurance is due so I've been battling the comparison sites and then trying to find like for like quotes.
