I've picked up another random selection of FREE food from the Prawn Lady so I thought I'd ask you for suggestions on how you would use it! Quite challenging today.
Avocado x 9
Celery heads x 2
Lemons x 9
Herbs - Mint, Dill, Parsley
Rainbow carrots
Small pots of Sage butter (for pasta) x 4
Wholemeal loaf.
PS I'm not a big fan of celery!

Veggie I’d make a dip using avocados, lemons and herbs. Cut the carrots into batons then turn your bread into toasted soldiers.
Everything else including the avocados can be frozen.

Thanks Bren. I've never frozen avocado. Must look into it - not that I have any room in the freezers at the moment.

I made something loosely based on this recipe for Celery & Stilton au Gratin. https://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/coll...-au-gratin
I say "loosely" as I cooked some celery, added some St Agur blue cheese and sage butter, bunged it in the microwave, and crumbled some chilli Doritos on top instead of breadcrumbs.

celery heads- feed to mr hungry
lemons - make lemon curd/lemon meringue pie
herbs - chop & freeze in ice cubes or dehydrate
rainbow carrots- store quite well fresh, but if you have lots. Freeze / dehydrate
sage butter- probably have pasta every other night until it was used ( love pasta) possibly add some of the carrots.
wholemeal loaf - maybe avocado on toast,
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

PS I'm not a big fan of celery! Avocado - I'd probably go all 60's and add prawns and dressing for an avo and prawn salad using some of the lemon to stop the avoid going black, plus toast
Celery - I'd braise in stock and try it with some of the sage butter.
Lemons - lemon drizzle cake, lemonade in the summer, curd too although I do a mean lemon meringue roulade.
Herbs - would get used randomly on anything that needed flavour.
Rainbow carrots - glazed and roasted or just enjoy them as carrots.
Sage butter - how about mixing with diced onion and the wholemeal breadcrumbs to either top your gratin or make stuffing .
Wholemeal bread - no contest, toast. I wonder what fried bread done in sage butter would taste like.

How about roasted avocado and carrots and celery drizzled with lemon juice and sage butter with a side of melba toast?
