You can go off people who keep on boasting about their courgettes when I've only seen one in flower so far this year.

The supposed climbing courgette,  Black Forest, seems to prefer crawling to climbing but the courgettes are just the right shape for spiralising, straight and true rather than curved.

In a word no! Probably because I washed it all off in distress. Dare I try again, maybe, but definitely using a different sprayer.

You're right there, I'll add it to the long list of things Jen shouldn't attempt to try.

Update. I think my optimism has flown out through the window. New growth is wierd on many plants with flowers not opening on fruit at all, so they don't get pollinated. I've got 2 plants that are OK and some in the wings about 3" tall plus 3 trombas so I won't be squashless. The pumpkin is a washout.
