Any chance anyone can put a name to these lilies?
My friend has just given me a big bag of tubers. She didn’t think they were day lilies.

After a quick google, I think she’s wrong. I think they are day lilies.
You’re thoughts would still be appreciated.

Day lilies - and they're edible.

I'd go with day lillies, never eaten them though. The ones I had took over and had to be dug out, had I known then that they were edible I'd have saved the tubers to taste.

Its not just the tubers that are edible - its the young leaves and flowers. I often have a nibble as I wander.

I was hoping they were day lilies. I’ll add them to the ones Scarlet sent me. Then hopefully at least a couple will manage to put up flowers. Because I’m really looking forward to adding them to my salads. They’ll look stunning and they sound very tasty. Only if the b!00dy voles leave them alone.
