I once gpt wrong off a relative for wearing those two colours on the pretext of 'Red & Green should never be seen' apparently?

I thought it was "Blue and Green should ne'er be seen" ? But I don't want to get into another argument!

Seems to be different depending on where you live?

The next line could be:-

Except upon an Irish Queen

Or:-Without a colour inbetween
or:-Except upon a holly tree (my favourite)

True but about 50miles away. I looked out and it was cloudy. I'm sure we would have been lucky were it not for the cloud. Maybe I should have looked out again. The tv magazine programme showed load of pictures near us, i.e. New Forest, 20 miles away, maybe I missed a trick.
