Name the Butterfly! - Veggie - 04-02-2021 [attachment=2127] A little game!! Can you Name the Butterflies in the image? Don't post your answers until you've identified them all (or most of them) as, I know what you lot are like and you'll cheat. RE: Name the Butterfly! - PyreneesPlot - 04-02-2021 Bingo and nice to see my favourite on there RE: Name the Butterfly! - Small chilli - 04-02-2021 Having trouble with 1,9 & 10. Got the others no problem. I’ll be back later when I’ve worked it out. RE: Name the Butterfly! - Small chilli - 04-02-2021 Worked out 9. It suddenly came to me. RE: Name the Butterfly! - Small chilli - 04-02-2021 I know them all now. Well , I think I do. RE: Name the Butterfly! - Mark_Riga - 04-02-2021 I've had a stab at all of them. Never heard of half of them but the all seem to be British and in a book I have from 1981. My eldest daughter will be 40 this year. RE: Name the Butterfly! - Moth - 05-02-2021 It's number 5 that's got me stuck. It's a log, isn't it? RE: Name the Butterfly! - Moth - 05-02-2021 Aha, got it! RE: Name the Butterfly! - Eyren - 05-02-2021 Stuck on 11, but I got all the others eventually (I think). When I was a teenager I was really into photographing flowers and insects (still am, tbh) so I know a lot of the names from poring over identification guides ETA: Actually, I'm not sure about 11 and 12 - they both potentially refer to the same species. Now I'm confused! EATA: Bingo! I finally twigged number 11, and am therefore confident I got 12 right. Yay! (I think 11 confused me because it's the wrong colour!) RE: Name the Butterfly! - Bren - 05-02-2021 I've got them all eventually, good game Veggie. |
