Thornless berry? - Vinny - 09-06-2025 Whilst clearing the brambles at the rear of where my new shed will be I came across this? It looks to be some sort of thornless berry? and I just wondered whether it was worth keeping? Does anyone have any idea what it is? RE: Thornless berry? - Veggie - 09-06-2025 Could be a tayberry, loganberry or one of that family. I have several but no idea what they are now. Wait until it flowers for a better idea. I'd keep it. ![]() RE: Thornless berry? - JJB - 09-06-2025 I've got a thornless blackberry, so you might be lucky and get something good. I'd keep it too. RE: Thornless berry? - Bren - 10-06-2025 Could it have come from the garden next door ? I can't remember whether it was thornless or not and I think it was probably a Loganberry. If it was that, it hasn't made much growth especially as they are supposedly rampant aren't they? RE: Thornless berry? - Veggie - 10-06-2025 Maybe it was struggling against the brambles? Or maybe it has tip rooted from its original position. I have a few that wander around, aimlessly - like me. ![]() RE: Thornless berry? - Veggie - 10-06-2025 (16-09-2021, 02:54 PM)Vinny Wrote: I got a red gooseberry, Autumn Raspberry,Summer Raspberry, Tayberry and a Blueberry. I wanted a loganberry but couldn't see any? Your post from 16 Sept 21. Could it be the tayberry? RE: Thornless berry? - SarrissUK - 10-06-2025 My plant ID app says raspberry, but I think the leaves are a strange colour for raspberry... but I might be wrong.
