The underground drainage tubes should massively help with that, shouldn't it? Are you draining it towards the road at the front?

The drainage will help some but I fear you will need to go very deep and back fill with stone then truck in some proper top soil which you could blend some of the peat through to help keep it loose.

Drainage will be going in at about 3ft and backfilled with stone. Top soil is never going to happen. It has to come from off island. Which instantly makes it expensive.

Sc how about digging in lots of seaweed, I know I recommended lots of straw or hay but that could be costly on an island, but you should be able to collect seaweed for free, and I like "free"
