Woke this morning with a banging head and high temp, done a lateral flow test which indicated void! Went for a PCR test which has just come back as negative Smile

Still feel crap but at least it's not Covid.

Back in1995, the word on the street was that Building Societies were going to convert to banks and that members of the Society would receive shares.  I opened accounts with several societies, deposited £110 and forgot all about them. Had a letter this week saying that my account in Britannia was being treated as "Unclaimed Assets" as there had been no action on it since 1995, so this morning I went to the Bank to close the account.
Any guesses how much the £110 had become after 25 years?

£1100

£198.00

No idea so I'll plug for £500

RE: Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night! - Vinny - 02-09-2021

I reckon £5500 if you got the shares? Cool

There was a time limit on the Bradford & Bingley shares and Helen lost out to the tune of £4500 because she hadn't put the claim in. Cry

Britannia were taken over by Cooperative Bank and there were no shares IIRC.
I had Abbey National Shares (now Santander Bank) and one that ended up as Barclays shares - can't remember which BS that was!

This is a first for me!
A hedgehog in the kitchen - thanks to Spud! When he put it down on the floor I thought it was a heavy apple - then I saw the spines. I couldn't pick it up barehanded, so how he manages to carry them in his mouth I've no idea.
Daft hedgehog now returned to the bushes - that's the third time this week.
