Usually there's no sign of the spider who made it.  Such intrepid things, it must be like swinging off the edge of the world going 13' .  They're all coming indoors too, we had two massive Boris's fighting to the death in the bathroom the other night.
All summer we’ve been plagued with spiders they have small  bodies with  really   long  legs,  they can make a web across the stairs in the time l walk up then back down again after brushing my teeth.
Took me by surprise the first time.

Afternoon all. Smile I made my first shortcrust pastry today, usually relying on Aldi's ready rolled puff pastry. Made a mince and tattie pie with it and it was quite nice. Must admit its a dam site easier and probably just as cheap with the ready rolled stuff, so it's off to Aldi in the future. Rolleyes
A good skill to have under my belt though. Undecided

Fancy making some sweet cucumber  relish but haven't got enough cukes at home. I remember planting three cucumber plants outside at  the plot but they are mixed in with the butternut squash, so hopefully if I have a dig underneath foliage I may find some more! Huh

Same here, Jay, so much rain, everywhere is sodden and squelchy. All I seem to do is dry wet dogs.
I've no idea what's happening down at the end of the garden - the courgettes will be giant marrows. Smile
Am I too late for the giant veg competition?

I found a 'lurker' courgette this morning at the plot......I could hardly pick it up! Cry Found a nice butternut squash in among the dying foliage and I now have enough cucumbers for my cuke relish I intend making. The outdoor cukes did better than the indoor versions of the same cultivar. Rolleyes

Evening, well would you believe, it dried up this afternoon and the sun came out. Decided to go for a walk, started off with hat, scarf and multiple layers and ended up taking the layers off it was so warm. Kept the hat on though as the hair is not growing back well!Big Grin Totally unexpected sunny, warm afternoon. Hope your day dried up too Veggie!

Good morning G&G. The rain has actually stopped this morning and there is a sliver of blue in the sky. Both very cheering. Might even get out if I can find my wellies, the ground may be too wet for normal lace-ups. Then again may stay in and bake Smile Cake or mud? No contest!

Good afternoon from the UK!
We've been here since yesterday morning after coming in on the night boat to help clear my mother's house before she moves in to a flat in two and half weeks. There is ALOT of stuff to clear!! But two weeks of quarantine in my childhood bedroom will focus the mind Smile

Evening All . Smile
Welcome to the UK, PP. Wish you'd brought some sunshine with you.

I'm in the process of clearing my Mum's flat too. So much stuff having to be dumped as most charity shops aren't accepting donations and those that are, require appointments- and that is just too much hassle - especially as we're in a Locked-down county.
Its made me realise that I need to sort out my own clutter too - that'll take a few years. Wink I have thrown out some used envelopes................its a start. Smile

From past personal experience, you'll find that what you get rid of now you will wish you hadn't in the years to come
