RE: 2020 - What I sowed today - Small chilli - 22-11-2020 I’ve sown some bread seed poppies RE: 2020 - What I sowed today - Farendwoman - 05-12-2020 Ever hopeful I’ve sowed (or is it sown?) several half packets of Barnhaven Primula seed. Wrong time of year to do it really - hence only sowing half of each packet. I had a tip off that Barnhaven might not be sending seeds without an expensive phyto sanitary certificate after Brexit. Then as soon as they arrived I had to sow some. RE: 2020 - What I sowed today - Norfolk Grey - 05-12-2020 My youngest sowed 10'000s of poppy seeds today - just a shame that it was in a space about a square foot big. Good job it was only seed to scatter on the off chance, did make me laugh. Bless her. RE: 2020 - What I sowed today - Broadway - 05-12-2020 Sowed some cactus and mountain cranberry seeds Farendwoman - Farendwoman - 23-12-2020 (05-12-2020, 03:25 PM)Farendwoman Wrote: Ever hopefulSurprise, surprise - got quite a few sprouting against all the odds. Yippee RE: 2020 - What I sowed today - Farendwoman - 23-12-2020 Sowed some calendula seed as a tester in some new (to me) Wickes compost. I usually use Verve from B&Q but having trouble getting it these days. Hoping this new stuff will be just as good. The seed in Verve came up quicker, but the Wickes caught up about three or four days later. Might have to stock up on a couple. Am I allowed to say that I don’t like peat free compost? I know it’s not very green to say that. Tried it a few years back and thought it was rubbish. Perhaps some of you more experienced growers can convince me otherwise? Would be willing to switch to peat free if I had a recommendation. RE: 2020 - What I sowed today - JJB - 31-12-2020 I'm with you FEW, but like you might change with persuasion. |
