RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Bren - 14-05-2023 B. Bacon, eggs and mushrooms on s sourdough oatcake. L. Cream cheese Bagel with lettuce and homemade coleslaw. D. Toad in the hole with roast parsnips, kale? Carrots and peas. RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Small chilli - 14-05-2023 I can highly recommend the rhubarb and apple crumble recipe, I tried for the first time today. https://www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/rhubarb-and-apple-flapjack-crumble/ RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Veggie - 14-05-2023 B. Sourdough toast & blackcurrant jam L. Beetroot and onion salad from the freezer (I thought it was blackberry and apple for my breakfast!), 3 radishes, toasted olive bread. A sourdough pastry thing D. Leftover curry and rice with garlic & coriander naan. That's the last of the rice I cooked a couple of days ago. I bought a huge bag of "broken basmati rice" during lockdown and its lasting for ever. Won't buy it again though as it doesn't look right when cooked - the grains are too small. RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - JJB - 14-05-2023 (14-05-2023, 09:30 PM)Small chilli Wrote: I can highly recommend the rhubarb and apple crumble recipe, I tried for the first time today. That looks a nice one. P used to sometimes comment that a normal batch of fruit crumble would go soggy before he finished it all - bearing in mind he's the only one eating it. I solved that problem by baking the crumble separately on a baking tray till golden. He now has fruit dollop with the crumble on top remaining crispy all week. PS the crispy crumble is rather nice to nibble on when no one is looking. RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Can the Man - 15-05-2023 Roast loin of pork with roast spuds, peas, carrots (last of my own), mushrooms, gravy and lots of fresh parsley (my own grown) chopped and sprinkled over it. Followed by an ice berger ice cream sandwich. RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Bren - 15-05-2023 Tuna pasta bake. RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Small chilli - 15-05-2023 Tonight is a little experimental. French garlic toast topped with garlic mushrooms, crispy bacon, asparagus spears and a poached egg. RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Vinny - 15-05-2023 Sreak and eggs! Never get sick of steak & eggs! RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Veggie - 15-05-2023 B. Sourdough toast & Blackcurrant jam L. The last of the Olive bread and the beetroot with almost the last of the cheese. A sourdough pastry thing with vegan chocolate filling. Its a bit like a fat cream horn but there's too much pastry and not enough filling for me. Glad I don't have to buy them. D. YS Breadcrumbed fish fillet with bread and butter. Too lazy to cook vegetables tonight. RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Bren - 16-05-2023 Mushroom stir fry with noodles and rice. |
