OH had to mow around them, to be honest he doesn't mind as they are mostly towards the edges and under the conker tree so growth isn't quite so fast there?(05-05-2021, 12:15 PM)Small chilli Wrote: Bobs (and every other lawnmowing person/business ) hates daffodils planted in a lawn. They do look lovely, but very unpopular with a certain sector .Daffodils in grass = Not a lawn. I don't plant them in the borders RE: Daffodils - Spec - 05-05-2021 (05-05-2021, 06:30 PM)Scarlet Wrote:Asking themselves why wives can't cut the grass sometimes(05-05-2021, 10:41 AM)Admin Wrote: Why do people plant daffodils in neat little rows?Because they have husbands that mow the lawn and moan 24/7! RE: Daffodils - Spec - 06-05-2021 ^^^^ possibly the reason for the moans, saying to himself, "WHY, WHY, did i say anything, just gave her the opportunity to get out of cutting the grass" RE: Daffodils - Veggie - 06-05-2021 The best way to get someone else to do something you dislike doing, is to do it so badly that they need to show you how much better they can do it. I only painted a door and a radiator once. RE: Daffodils - Scarlet - 06-05-2021 I can't moan too much at the OH, he has spent this month digging over my dahlias patch and a large border. He hates gardening, but he has dug it all over twice getting out the weeds and it's all nearly ready for planting. The border in the garden had a large hedge that had died in places and lots of ivy roots in there too....there were a few shrubs but when he is asked to dig something, everything has to go RE: Daffodils - Spec - 06-05-2021 Is he just turning the soil over, or has he been digging deep holes, just to check Just joking, nothing to worry about, unless, has he ordered any paving slabs or mentioned a patio recently |
