OK it's a bit cooler today so I sowed a few of my five into modules. Ammi majus "Graceland" Cornflower "Blue Ball" Cornflower "Black Ball" Nigella "Light Blue" Gypsophila RE: The G&G Floral Project - Small chilli - 10-09-2023 I’ve been looking at what to sow next month already . I used chiltern seeds website as they have lots of filters to narrow down the search. I chose the sowing month and flowers for cutting. You could narrow down the search more by choosing soil type, sun or shade, annual or perennial and lot of other things. I’ve started my list of potentials . RE: The G&G Floral Project - Veggie - 10-09-2023 Thanks SC. Even though I'd narrowed the seach down there were still over 400 flowers to choose from! My short list is:- Achillea, Antirrhinum Aquilegia Chrysanthemum Dianthus/Sweet William Lathyrus/Sweet Pea Monarda/Bee Balm Penstemon. RE: The G&G Floral Project - MartinH - 10-09-2023 I have at least 5 different sweet peas I could sow next month. Would that be cheating? RE: The G&G Floral Project - Veggie - 10-09-2023 There are no Rules, Martin. Is October a good time to sow sweet peas? RE: The G&G Floral Project - MartinH - 11-09-2023 (10-09-2023, 10:37 PM)Veggie Wrote: There are no Rules, Martin. Yes, you should get flowers in May if you sow next month. You can sow in modules and either leave in a cold frame until spring, or plant out in a mild spell in November if you can protect from the worst of the weather. They are pretty tough, I sometimes find self-sown plants overwintering.
