RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Veggie - 03-01-2023 Most of us are on the Norty step just for being here. Its a while since I've cooked with tofu but I remember cubing it, dipping the cubes in soy sauce, then sesame seeds and frying it. If you don't have sesame seeds, maybe cornflour or ordinary flour would do. I lurve seame seeds on sticky chicken wings! I once used pre marinated tofu, marinated in soy sauce and it was great, but this stuff was a nightmare. RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Veggie - 03-01-2023 Do you drain it/dry it before cooking it? RE: 2023 - Tonight's recipe - Vinny - 03-01-2023 (03-01-2023, 12:48 AM)Veggie Wrote: Do you drain it/dry it before cooking it?I took it out the packaging and drained the water off. I then cut it into 20mm chunks on a chopping board. I carefully put the chunks into a frying pan with hot oil. Tried to pre-cook it for 10 minutes before adding the veg. In that time it hadn't browned and just starte dfalling apart so I put the veg in, mixed it up and was left with tofu mince! The whole lot looked like something the dog had thrown up!
