RE: Vertical Squash - Broadway - 28-08-2021 Ok would be good to see the final results, I'm keen to try it next year. This year I'm growing Table King, Uchiki Kuri, Harlequin, Butternut Chieftain, and Tromboncino. As the moment the area has merged into a carpet of leaves with the fruits somewhere underneath I've also been looking at climbing courgettes, would be interested to hear from anyone who has tried any? RE: Vertical Squash - SarrissUK - 29-08-2021 I will climb my courgettes next year Danny, or at least that is the plan I might do one or two plants growing on the ground, and two upwards. RE: Vertical Squash - JJB - 22-06-2024 Climing squash, particularly Trombas. Do we prune them like cucumbers or let them have a party and run every which way? What does the panel think. I know Veggies answer already. RE: Vertical Squash - Small chilli - 22-06-2024 I let them do their own thing. Within reason. RE: Vertical Squash - JJB - 22-06-2024 In the past I've let them have their own way, with the main stem up the climbing frame and offshoots along the ground. |
