I know you had some concerns earlier in the growing season, but there's loads growing! Thanks DJ, yes I'm a lot more happier than I was a while ago RE: The Shire..... - Broadway - 16-07-2021 Planted 3 rhubarb plants in their permanent position yesterday. A few days ago i had to dig up my 1 year old asparagus as the bed was a mess. Ive potted them for now with the intention of planting them in their permanent position once Ive picked the broad beans. RE: The Shire..... - Broadway - 19-07-2021 Below is a picture of the rhubarb I planted the other day. [attachment=3511] Did about 1.5 hours this morning, now home for a drink. Did some weeding, planted the asparagus, and found some mini squashes [attachment=3510][attachment=3512] RE: The Shire..... - Broadway - 19-07-2021 Our salad leaves looking colorful, these are in our backyard.... [attachment=3513] RE: The Shire..... - toomanytommytoes - 19-07-2021 What variety of squash is that? It looks a bit like the Harlequin we've got growing. RE: The Shire..... - toomanytommytoes - 19-07-2021 Table Star? I've got two bush squash called Honey Bear in 50 L pots in the front garden, they're doing really well so far, they're about as big as a courgette plant. The Harlequins are interplanted with sweetcorn in a raised bed, also doing really well. RE: The Shire..... - Broadway - 04-08-2021 My cousin was visiting and he helped me move the two planters below into position. I plan to use them upside down and use the legs to support netting where required. We moved a third planter to near where I want it for next year and carried the forth home to use in the back yard. [attachment=3605] RE: The Shire..... - doublyjonah - 04-08-2021 Making things easy to cover and net is a big goal for me for next year. Looks like a good setup. RE: The Shire..... - JJB - 05-08-2021 Looks a brilliant idea Danny. |
