RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - Veggie - 22-01-2022 Found a tin of Pilchards in tomato sauce at the back of the cupboard so planned to eat it with a jacket potato. Had a fight with the tin opener as it didn't want to pierce the lid. So I rummaged in the drawer and found 2 battery operated ones that were Mum's. Needless to say, the batteries were flat and could only manage a pathetic whi.....rr....rr.. So I put them back in the drawer until I can find some new batteries. Meanwhile, the microwave was peeping that the potato was cooked. Back to the tin opener and gave it a big squeeze, success, managed to open the tin. Dolloped some onto the potato and sat down to eat it. Halfway through, there's a strange clicking, chirruping noise coming from the drawer - one of the battery openers had decided to start!! I have to say, the pilchards are disgusting - the dogs can have the rest of the tin. On the bright side, its one less thing I'll be tempted to buy. RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - Broadway - 24-01-2022 We finished off the Veggie lasagne and salad last night. Leftover chicken tonight mixed with chorizo & rice RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - Bren - 24-01-2022 Jacket potatoes, chilli and salad with chutney. Wish I'd had black forest gateau for pud but but no, P had to put up with rhubarb and custard RE: 2022 - Tonight's recipe - PyreneesPlot - 24-01-2022 Falafel, bulgur wheat, pickles & green salad. |
